DAY NUMBER 17

09.03.2007

We actually paid $2 for a parking ticket and had to write up our own reciept!

Kinda like Alice's Restaurant "We had to pay fifty dollars and pick up the litter".

The Frazier museum in downtown Louisville had an original Gattling Gun and displays of many fine old guns and armaments.

Blaine got a little excited at one of the exhibits and tried to race by me,

but.................

Oops sorry...................better luck next time.

One of the oldest brick streets in Louisville.

The Peterson House was built in 1869.

Had to skip one restaurant when we saw this bug outside the entrance.

This one is for the biology teachers out there!

I think this ad campaign was created by our friend 3litre.

DAY NUMBER 18

09.04.2007

Found another restaurant, bug free this time, but waited to see if this was a customer pickup or delivery.

Either way we had some reservations.

No I swear it!  I just saw Senator Pat Leahy walk by in green shorts!

Lynn's sponsors an ugly lamp contest every year and the winners

(and apparently some losers) decorate the restaurant.

Linda, I said UNsweetened tea!

Blaine had fried green tomato and bacon sandwich (with a side of baked mac and cheese) and for tom it was salad again.

We thought he learned his lesson at Hooters.

I guess you can take the boy out of Kalifornia but you can't atke the Kalifornia out of the boy.

Linda (the one on the right) was happy to help Blaine display his gourmet repast.

X marks the spot for good old Gold Hill?

Tom told me he knew the difference between a toaster and a horse's?

I have my doubts.....

You want me to plug what in where?

While I was trying plug in the horse, Blaine if off playing with a fork.

Does life imitate art?

Hmmm....  Familiar face in that door?

Blaine, but they had no rosemary or thyme what a strange store.

Finally Tom was able to buy something he didn't have to worry about taking up more of the limited boot space.

Off to see The Wizard......

On a Whizzer....

Hopefully to share in his $331 million lottery.

Who says a Farmers agent can't get help from the good hands people?

Tom's youngest grandson's  (#37) team beat their opponents 47 to 13 today.

Tom struggles to bring us all some refreshments....

Several people had to help him along the way as things kept trying to fall out.

So is this a chance to help a friend in need or a photo op?

PHOTO OP!

We went shopping for dinner after the game...  I thought I had a great choice!

But, Salmon with freshly made mango salsa won out over the pickled rope bologna... :-(

Sorry Leslie, I think this is as close as we will get to a headless chicken.

Time to grab a magazine read a bit and off to bed....

6 A.M. start and we're heading home!
