DAY NUMBER NINE

08.24.2008

We arrived at Tom's daughter and son-in-law's home in Louisville for a much needed R & R stop.

Betsy, John , Ali and Josh welcomed the weary travelers.

"Not too much starch in the shirts Tom"

The political watch dog was on duty and sounded the alarm.

Bob Heleringer, Kentucky State Senate candidate, came to the door soliciting our support.

Even though we failed to get the Nevada Lt. Governor/ Bar Tender, Loraine Hunt, into the Governor's seat,

we agreed to give Bob a shot.  Tom has taken on the impromptu national campaign for him.

We'll do our best.

No Blaine an empty cicada chrysalis doesn't count in wildlife photography, but it is a great photo.

"You promised we would go to Churchill Downs today, but it sure doesn't look like the race track."

Why do I always get this end????

Since we didn't go to Churchill downs, how about some Kart races in Kroeger's parking lot?

Rule # 26: Never spend more money on your rims than you paid for the car.

Betsy, John, Ali and Josh

threw the pair an anniversary party celebrating the 7th year of the "official" West Coast Convoy,

complete with a tyre bouquet in full bloom.

And a rubber tyre cake as delicious as it looks complete with one ply of shaved dark choclate.

It had a little carbon black after taste but was still very good.

Beware...............premises protected by trained attack cat.

Tomorrow we are off to Fort Knox.  Blaine needs to refresh his gold supply.
