DAY NUMBER THREE

08.18.2008

Tom arrives at RIA (Ritzville International Airport) after a short flight from Portland,

with a spring in his step and a trace of malathion on his shoes.

The inflight service was great, but the movie was a rerun.

After passing through security, (the dog kept sniffing Tom's shoes)

Blaine picked Tom up at the RIA  terminal/fuel-depot/executive accomodations

and

long term parking area.

Blaine was visiting his roots in Ritzville.

Phil was there to greet him.

Location where Blaine's grandparents home once stood.

His great grandparents lived here...

Circle T was where Blaines mom worked back in the day.

Way back in the day......

If the olympic judges were to rate the store we were afraid they would only get a bronze.

On to Wallace Idaho......

Birth place of double n Dennie....

With BMW moving roadster production overseas, we are looking at alternatives.

Blaine always knew he was the center of the universe now we have proof!

The famous "Rat Patrol" was on duty in Wallace, Idaho.

Due to it being tourist season the .50 cal is not allowed in town.

Speaking of alternatives....

After the last race Blaine thinks this might be a positive addition to HMS stable for Bristol.

Air powered train used in local Wallace area hard rock mines.......

There is a hot air or maybe a hard rock joke here somewhere.....

We tried to follow son Drew's guidance to drink only local brews but the orewhouse wasn't pouring yet.

Even though we were quite hungry by the time we hit Wallace....

For some reason we decided to pass on the deli food...and gas......

Because of the nostalgic ambiance, we chose to dine at the Red Light Garage & Espresso...

We're thinking the lectric inspector hasn't been around for a bit.

Before, during and AFTER.............................Diamond Blaine is the new moniker.

One of the Freds has some splainin to do!

BTW.... Any Z3r discounts available Fred?

We were curious as to why this was parked outside Fred's place...

but you know what curiosity did to the cat....

Only a Kalifornian would steal food from a cow in Montana.

To close of the day at Kalispell Montana, we were treated to this spectacular sunset.

Tomorrow (aka red shirt Tuesday) Highway to the Sun, or as it is now called the Western Smokies.
