Homecoming 2008!
With over 14 gigabytes of pictures, not all make it to the website. They may be over the top or just plain overlooked. So this year I decided to make an out-takes posting of sorts. I really didn't want it open for all to see, just those that have the skills or find it by plain luck. So if you are reading this either you are lucky or skilled. Enjoy yourself and please be forwarned this page is NWS so please view in the privacy of your own home or cubicle. Thanks for letting me share......
This photo was supposed to show the Molly B'Damn Motel which
just happened to have a church right beside it...
But the church sign was to far away to be readable...
While taking the pics there was a large dog deposit that Tom warned me of twice...
He should have said it three times because I went back to give it one more try....
The last picture turned into fragant encounter to say the least...
That is where we developed the saying "Don't step in the dog ****" that your read over the days of our postings.
Tom caught on to the old scratch your head pose....
But I did get this little monkey scratch in front of the Clarence Darrow room at the Molly B'Damn motel.
Monkey trials, like Georgia/Russia jokes, are a bit too subtle.....
What is the lure of sticking ones face through a hole then taking a picture?
Whatever the lure we bit hook line and sinker.
We were going to post this plate jus cuZ it was kinda of cool...
but I vetoed this one
on the basis that she was driving like maroon and I didn't want to give her any notoriety.
Which I just did I guess.....
Another picture of my learning progress...
It was going to read something like.. "Blaine goes off to be learned.."
Just a small section of the Vortex Green Machine radiator, after driving thru MT to MinnMark's house...
We deemed it a bit too graphic for our sensitive following....
MinnMark washing off the radiator... Left probably a pound of protein on the driveway..
Yuck.....
This pic/joke was going to posted to the UK board .....
We have enuff trouble getting people in The States to understand our humor...
It was decided adding another country was not needed.....
Some pictures and/or jokes are too specific to one person...
This MaryB inspired photo was tossed as being too narrow
and
we didn't want to bring out the ire of the quilting community.
A picture that missed by just that much...
It says, "Uranium Enrichment by the Gaseous Diffusion Process".
It was to be tied in with the infamous Ruben omelette posting from WI.
Unfortunately it was too gaseous I guess, cuz the photo is unreadable....
This was taken to link to the cleaning apparatus being used to clean up
the cement pond prior to the arrival of all the Z's. Too obscure....

Ah, this photo is of me actually asking for directions to Jr's shop..
We decided a picture of a man asking for directions was just too unbelievable to post.
People watching other people wash their cars...
Something along the order of, "Washing down alcohol instead of Z's"...

A photo showing the all the water being used to wash cars...
We actually had to basically jump the crick to get out of the car and go to our room...
This kinda showed the ARZOA members in a bad light....

Tom wanted to post a few as he took a zillion of them and wanted some respect..
If you've seen one fireworks pic you've seen them all.....
Well I did post "my" fireworks pictures... So here is one of Tom's for yall.
This one should have stayed lost.....
Sooo... You're sitting in the hotel room drinking adult beverages
and
someone calls to tell you they left their camera in the room...
What do you do?
Take pictures of stuff that normally should not be seen....
This is one of the lesser pics.... Remember kids, "Don't drink and photo!"
Any picture with Z's and police where the Z is still moving is a good pic.
Just not good enuff to get posted I guess......
When they brought out "the last Z4" everyone rushed up to take photos...
Best Tom could do was a picture of someone else's camera taking a photo...
That dang thing sat there for 4 hours..... Ah patience is a virtue I guess.
This was supposed to be the last parting shot of the BMW factory....
Well I guess almost is better than nothing... Just not much better.....

Couldn't figger this one out.... All the big ole sign said was "RATTLESNAKES"....
No where to go with it, but still kinda funny?
This is a pic I took when I ordered the Texas jalapeno burger from hell....
It was operator error on the picture but was exactly how I felt halfway thru the burger..
I guess I didn't want to admit just how bad the burn was....
I've had scotch bonnet with less bite!
Bad thing was I saw the same visions the next morning.... Weren't no easier goin out as in!
This one is in progress... I need to have Kali-Jeff PShop my Z3 stuck in the ground..
Hopefully it will look like I'm leaning on it.
I kinda wanted to post this but it was left out on the grounds that it might be a bit too un-PC.
I thought the whole "End of the Trail" image with the
discarded liquor bottles on the side of the road was just good accidental social commentary....
This was for JTP but it was decided he had taken enuff abuse...
With the whole wedding thing coming up and all....
I took this pic of Tom at Lake Tahoe...
But, if you look behind Tom that was the picture I really wanted....
Someone had a photo shoot going on in the sands of Tahoe....
Not to hurt Tom's feelers but it looked like this was a little more exciting.....
It doesn't pay to be late...
I had to PShop this one after the fact as you couldn't read the sign...
But late is better than never I guess....
Another one just a little bit too disgusting....
Everywhere we stopped the yellow jackets had an impromptu smorgasbord.
Uh... Didn't want to post this one as being a material witness to an accident might be a PIA.

She looks like a nice person so we didn't want to show her in a bad light....
This was going to be a Snapple theme with all the sayings posted....

Ah Sunday lunch... server hits this upside down holding pan sending chicken everywhere...
He takes a looks shrugs his shoulders and goes on....
This person surveys the situation calls someone up to explain....
She shrugs her shoulders and moves on...
Don't know who eventually picked up the chicken....
So if you're chicken tasted like cement dust you now know why....
Was going to be part of the road kill series but sanity prevailed.

These bugs were everywhere at our Texas photo shoot...
Tom asked what they were... Buddy replied, "Why those are Texas sugar ants!".
Which was really funny at the time...
but unlike us, the website readers hadn't been driving for 18 hrs..
So the humor may have been lost....
I told Tom I deleted this one....
What can I say.... I guess I made a mistake.....
This one was more than tasteless but we couldn't help ourselves....
The tagline was to be "Wildlife photography takes a deadly turn".
We spent the rest of the trip looking trying to take a good photo of a raven feeding in the road...
This was the closest we got....
We had been driving all day at well above the speed limit including thru the "so called" construction zones...
We stopped for a sagebrush inspection and when I pulled out it was in front of a local construction truck.
He was in a hurry so I let him pass when we hit this sign.....
I was driving over 70 at the time he passed me......
Guess what?
The Nevada HP crested the hill in front of us just as he finished his pass....
Instant lights in front and then "the turn around".
I passed em both at a proper 35 MPH with one question on my mind.....
"Wonder what the bail is on a 40 over in a construction zone?"
The picture was not good enuff to post but the story is......
Tom asking camera advice from a steel sculpture which is only funny to us....
Cuz we both had new cameras that neither of us really knew how to run....
This one was really lost... Lisa is the one who made the hood for the trip...
The Traveling Hood was a huge sucess!!!!
